On Kawasaki
Seems like a lot of Harley-
Davidsons are "expiring" this
year in the AMA Grand National
Championship. Hope they have
some deep pockets.

For Rossi
Great news for Valentino Rossi
fans and MotoGP in general.
It's been fantastic to see Rossi
getting comfortable on the
Yamaha again and looking like
his old self.
If you take away the super-
naturally talented Marc Mar-
quez who no one seems able
to beat, Rossi is as good or
better than the rest.
That's quite a feat after nine
World Championships. I wish
him many more.

For Rossi II
Smart move by Yamaha. Valen-
tino Rossi has more personality
and stage presence than the
rest of the riders put together.
Which generates ink and good-
will and sells bikes.

Pedrosa Signs
Let's see - Nicky Hayden, one
World Championship, loses
Honda ride. Dani Pedrosa, zero
World Championships, stays
with Honda for years. Honda
equals stupid. I haven't bought
a Honda since they dumped
Nicky.

The Wolverine
Thanks for the story on Dane
Westby ("On A Roll," Issue 27,
July 8). It's nice to see a racer
returning to his roots, going on
the road with his crew and fa-
ther, and having success while
doing so. We all like an under-
dog and I wish the Westbys the
best of luck for the rest of the
year.

The Stewart Saga
Come on people; let's actually
find out what James Stewart
failed the doping test with be-
fore we hang the guy out to dry.
What the hell is it with moto-
cross fans that look for the first
thing to hate on a great rider?
I am not the biggest Stewart
fan as Ryan Dungey is the one I
usually root for, but give it a rest
until we know the full story.
