VOL. 51 ISSUE 28 JULY 15, 2014 P103 BY JASON ABBOTT PHOTOGRAPHY BY KEVIN WING T he latest trend with the manufacturers seems to be refining the art of build- ing low-cost, solid-performing motorcycles that rank high on the fun scale. Whether you're new to the two-wheeled street scene or just looking for a mo- torcycle to commute in order to save money, Honda has another new motorcycle that might just meet your needs. Starting at $8499 for the standard model (which is $2200 more than the CBR500R and $3000 less than the CBR600RR) the all-new 2014 Honda CBR650F gives the con- sumer a step-up in performance over the 500 combined with the sportbike styling of the 600RR. Call it a budget, middleweight 600. Or a Tweener. We recently had the opportunity to sample Honda's new CBR650F and came away impressed with the bike that fits in nicely between the CBR500R and the CBR600RR.
