IN THE WIND P28 NOREN STEPS IN FOR BARCIA S weden's Fredrik Noren will fill in for the injured Justin Bar- cia on the Honda Muscle Milk Team for the remainder of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Noren, who won the Jr. Swed- ish Championship in 2009 and the Swedish Championship in 2010, has been campaigning the U.S. Nationals as a priva- teer since 2011 and has multiple top-10 finishes. He was recently honored with the Ricky Carmi- chael Hard Charger Award at the Thunder Valley National MX in Colorado and finished 11th at the July 6 Red Bull RedBud National in Michigan in his Honda Muscle Milk Team debut. "This is a dream come true," said the 22-year-old Noren be- fore the RedBud National. "I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity and I can't wait to work with everyone at Team Hon- da Muscle Milk. When I came to the U.S. I raced a Honda and re- ally liked it, so to be able to ride a factory CRF450R is incredible. Also, not having the stress of try- ing to raise money to get to the races and having to work on my own bike will be such a relief." "We are excited to have Fredrik join our team for the remaining rounds of the series," said team manager Dan Betley. "He con- tinues to be a top privateer each week and we believe with the proper equipment he can really show his true potential." Barcia, who is sidelined with an ankle injury that required sur- gery, has likely ridden his last race on the Honda Muscle Milk team. His contract with Honda expires at the end of the season and he is expected to sign with a different team, rumored to be JGRMX/Yamaha, for 2015. LAROCCO TO AMA HALL OF FAME F ormer AMA 500 and 250cc National Motocross Champion Mike LaRocco will be inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame as part of the class of 2014 on October 17 in Orlando, Florida. "Mike LaRocco was a tough competitor who gave it his all every time he got on the track," said Ken Ford, a member of the Hall of Fame executive committee and treasurer of the AMA board of direc- tors. "He was a huge fan favorite throughout his 19-year professional career." LaRocco said he was honored to be included in the Hall of Fame Class of 2014. "You know, when I was racing, I was very fo- cused on the competition, and the fan thing was a distraction," LaRocco said. "But now, looking back, I recognize how important the fans are in making all this possible. And I appreciate the sup- port they gave me." LaRocco is the fifth member of the AMA Motor-
