saw at least one near collision,
between Karel Abraham and Pol
Espargaro.
It was thus a race of two
halves. Or more for Hernandez,
who had to pit a second time to
get his dry bike once more; and
for the mechanics, who had to
warm up wet bikes again just in
case, when it started sprinkling
again, bringing out the flags, just
before half-distance.
It started in rain with Marlboro
Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso lead-
ing away, Marquez taking over
before the end of lap one, and
both drawing better than a sec-
ond clear of pole starter NGM
Forward Yamaha's Aleix Espar-
garo, Repso9l Honda's Dani
Pedrosa and the rest. Rossi was
19th after joining the back from
pit lane; gaining six places when
the pit stops kicked in after lap
six.
The front two had carried
on pulling clear; while Lorenzo
and his Movistar Yamaha had
dropped to seventh, with Marl-
boro Ducati's Cal Crutchlow
ahead, enjoying the wet, and
