osh Hayes came into Barber
Motorsports Park third in
the AMA Superbike Cham-
pionship standings and wonder-
ing aloud what he needed to do
to match the speed of his young
Monster Energy/Graves Yamaha
teammate Cameron Beaubier.
After a flawless weekend in Ala-
bama, the tide of momentum has
definitely shifted in Hayes's favor.
The veteran Hayes used all of
his experience to successfully
navigate a hot (and slick in plac-
es) track that caught a lot of rid-
ers out. He won by 12.057 sec-
onds on Saturday and by 7.807
seconds on Sunday, this after
