VOL. 51 ISSUE 25 JUNE 24, 2014 P37
>>XCF-W, XC-W AND EXC
Nearly every model in KTM's
2015 off-road lineup, includ-
ing the 350 and 500 EXC dual
sport models, has been refined
for the new model year. Among
other minor changes, all of the
XC-W and EXC models feature a
new MAE digital speedometer,
blacked-anodized Neken han-
dlebars, updated hand guards,
softer-compound grips, orange-
colored frames and new graph-
ics. The XC-W's also have new
Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires, while
the EXC get new Metzler Six
Days DOT tires. Rims are now
black on all of the XC-Ws but re-
main silver on the two EXCs. The
200 XC-W has an updated PDS
rear shock, and both the XCF-W
250 and 350 took on updates to
their DDS clutches. Sixth gear in
the 250 XCF-W's transmission
has a wider ratio.
The 2015 XC-W 200, 250 and
300 two-strokes took on a few
refinements. They all have new
carburetor settings and a lighter
3Ah battery. The 250 and 300
receive a new starter gear ratio
(for improved starting), ignition
cover and gasket, as well as a
new inner clutch cover gasket.
The 250 gets a new CDI
curve that is optimized for a new
power-valve setting.
