he AMSOIL AMA Grand
National Cross Country Se-
ries, presented by Maxxis,
descended upon the picturesque
West Virginia's largest ski resort,
Snowshoe Mountain, for round
nine of the 13-race championship
series. Deemed as the toughest
race on the entire GNCC circuit,
the Snowshoe GNCC sits at an
altitude of 4,848 feet and show-
cased approximately 18 miles
of mud, rocks, gnarly hill climbs
and slick tree roots, which were,
at times, treacherous enough to
