ners during the first four races,
finishing fifth at High Point with
a 6-6 score, despite still feeling
the affects of two weeks worth of
illness.
"Unfortunately, when you have
kids you have to deal with a lot
of sickness, they are little germ
carriers, and I ended up get-
ting some kind of strep virus,
and I wasn't able to do anything
all week before Thunder Val-
ley [the previous weekend]. My
whole week was like sleep and
drink Chloraseptic," said Grant.
"I wasn't even sure I would race
in Colorado, but I flew out just to
see how I would feel. I did first
practice and I opted out of the
second one just to save energy
and it worked out. I got the hole-
shot in the first moto and had a
good day.
"I kind of did the same this
week, I rode once in the middle
of the week and then rested
the rest of the week. But I just
couldn't get off the gate today
and I ended up getting two bad
starts. I was able to fight back to
a pair of sixths for fifth overall. I'm
riding well, if I can just get off the
gate and mix it up with those guys
then that would be better."

Team rider was able to get off the
line in the top five in both motos,
which was something he wasn't
able to do at the beginning of the
series.
Completing the opening lap in
fourth, Baggett passed Valli Mo-
torsports Yamaha's Christophe
Pourcel and had control of third
by the fifth lap of moto one. He
then passed both Yamalube/Star
Racing Yamaha's Jeremy Martin
and GEICO Honda's Justin Bogle
on the next lap to move into the
lead. From there, Baggett was
able to pick his lines and pull
away to a 4.5-second cushion by
the finish.
Moto two saw a similar start,
with Baggett in fourth at the end
of the first lap. The former 250
outdoor champ had few prob-
lems getting around teammate
Justin Hill and Rockstar Rac-
ing's Jason Anderson and into
