at Montmelo, with the undecided
Jorge Lorenzo a key, Valentino Rossi still
to ink in his planned two more years at Ya-
maha, and everybody waiting for Dani Pe-
drosa's decision.
No amount has been revealed, but it is
well known that Honda's offer to Marquez's
teammate Pedrosa has been cut, rumors
saying by as much as 80 percent, but with
a compensating win bonus. Honda wants
to keep him, but with some conditions.
Contacts with Suzuki are well known, but Pedro-
sa's economic aspirations are far above from what
Suzuki is planning to pay on its return to the cham-
pionship, so this option is virtually ruled out. Other
options are neither clear nor numerous.

future plans in Moto GP ei-
ther. The Italian manufacturer
has received clear orders from
main sponsor Phillip Morris to
hold back on courting top tal-
ent until it is proven that the new
bike Gigi Dall'Igna is developing
for the next season really works.
Marlboro is reluctant to spend
two more years as they did with
Valentino Rossi under constant
criticism.
The ideal option is to continue
as they are. Well, not exactly –
because Ducati is not happy with
Cal Crutchlow, and vice versa.
His two-year contract has a get-
out clause with a deadline at the
end of July, and a release guar-
antee rumored to be 1.5-million
Euros.
