2015 HARLEY-DAVIDSON STREET 750
FIRST RIDE
P62
That's right the Street 750 gets
Harley's 60-degree liquid-cooled
749cc Revolution X V-Twin pow-
erplant that in this application
is buttery smooth from bottom
to top (its redline is 8500 rpm,
though you wouldn't know that
from looking at the dash because
it takes minimalist to a new level –
speedo and odometer). While the
motor is smooth throughout, the
emphasis was placed squarely
on low-end torque. As far as this
V-twin goes in this application,
the engineers got it dead right.
The Street 750's well-mapped
fuel injection means there's no
roughness at the bottom when
you first crack the throttle; and
a light-action clutch teamed with
a smooth-shifting transmission
translates to effortless launch-
es from stoplight to stoplight.
There's really nothing intimidating
about the Street 750 and I'm not
sure you could stall it if you tried.
I take that back. The first time
(Above) The Street 750 is aimed
at the beginner middleweight
cruiser segment and will sell for
$7499.
(Right) The Street gets a spindly
37mm front fork, but it offers up
5.5-inches of travel.
(Middle) The Revolution X V-Twin
powerplant produced 52.5
horsepower at 79 rpm on the
MotorcycleUSA.com dyno.
(Far right) Yes that's a radiator.
Yes the Street 750 is liquid-cooled.
