VOL. 51 ISSUE 23 JUNE 10, 2014 P65
T
he big news with the 2015
Honda CRF250R is that it's
now fitted with air forks —
49mm Showa Separate Function
Fork, Triple Air Chamber (SFF-
Air) units. Again, the advantage
here is less weight and more
adjustability versus traditional
spring forks.
The CR's shock spring is
lighter (in weight) and stiffer.
The CRF250R also gets
Engine Mode Select, new fuel
map settings for its Dual-Time
PGM-FI fuel injection system
and an updated muffler, which
are together said to increase en-
gine performance for smoother
acceleration, improved throttle
response, and provides quicker
revving and more peak power. It
also has a lighter return spring in
the throttle for a lighter pull.
The 2015 CRF250R also has
new front/rear wave-style rotors,
a larger 260mm front disc brake
and new graphics.
Like the CRF450R, the 250
gets the Dunlop Geomax MX52
tires.
The 2015 Honda CRF250R
has an MSRP of $7599 and will
be available in August.
