IN THE WIND P34 FLAT TRACK FOR X-GAMES? I f Harley-Davidson gets its way, there's a good chance that flat track racing could make its way to the X-Games next year in Austin, Texas. This year Harley took part in the event as a sponsor, showing off its new 750 Street in combination with a press introduction in Austin. They also had AMA Grand National Champion Brad Baker at the event, talking all things dirt track and promoting the @XGamesFlatTrack hashtag to get fans on board with having flat track at X-Games next year. ROUND ONE TO JANNIRO F our-time AMA Speedway National Champion Billy Janniro laid down a marker af- ter a perfect seven-win display in round 1 of the 2014 Speed- way National Championship Series at Costa Mesa Speed- way on June 7. The race was a return for an AMA National Championship at the legendary Southern Cal- ifornia track after a five-year hi- atus. Janniro heads into round two with a maximum 21 points and a six-point lead heading to round two in Ventura, Califor- nia, on June 28. Tyson Burmeister finished second in the final after giving Janniro his toughest challenge in heat 17, though it's Charlie Venegas who sits second to Janniro in the series standings after winning four heats on the night but ending up last in the final. Former champion Mike Faria blew an engine on the run in to the line in his first heat, ruling him out for the night.
