"A double win that was just what we needed," said Melandri on Sunday afternoon. "Despite the difficulties, we never gave up. We kept working and fighting." Said Melandri of the reasons behind his amazing recovery from the doldrums of recent times: "I think it was just a set- up thing. My riding style needs a completely different set-up than any other rider and I think the engineers have started to learn already. I ride on the front and I like the bike to turn a lot and carry good corner speed." Guintoli knew he was beaten in both races but not by much. A mere .620 of a second in race one and a sliver-like .166 of a second after some great battling in race two. That event proved to Race one turned ugly in a hurry when Loris Baz (hidden) lost the front and took out his team- mate Tom Sykes (1) and Alex Lowes (22).
