KENDA AMA NATIONAL ENDURO SERIES BY SHAN MOORE PHOTOGRAPHY BY KENNETH KING R ound five of the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series was bound to produce a new winner since Charlie Mullins, winner of all four rounds held to date, dislocated his wrist on the Wednesday before the race and was forced to sit it out. Mullins held a 40-point lead in the series standings heading into the race, but with his return to the series still somewhat unknown, a bid for a third National Enduro title won't be in the cards for the North Carolina rider, leav- ing the door wide open for someone else to step up. Brad Bakken was a logical choice to grab his first-ever National win at the Jester National Enduro, since he lives a short distance from the Virginia venue, and after seven tests and 65-miles of racing, the N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha rider delivered on all the speculation, taking a 15-second win over AirGroup Racing's Nick Fahringer. As expected, Bakken got off to a quick start, winning the first test by 23 seconds over Maxxis/Klim/DirtWse KTM's Jesse Groemm.
