t was business as usual for Pat
Smage, the Sherco USA rider
dominating rounds three and
four of the Aires AMA NATC Mo-
toTrial USA National Series in Se-
dan, Kansas.
Martin Matejicek, the Junior
champ from the Czech Republic,
was much improved over his per-
formance last week at the series
opener in Colorado, however,
Smage still managed to distance
himself from Matejicek, and
the rest of the competition, and
coasted to two more wins in the
MotoTrials series to remain unde-
feated through four rounds.
In contrast to last week's event
in Colorado, the Kansas MotoTri-
als was hot, humid and some-
what easier, although some of
the sections required a keen eye
to find just the right line.
Saturday
Smage was solid from the start
on Saturday, as he was in Colo-
rado, and dropped only one dab
on his first loop, which consisted
of 12 sections set in a series of
