LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 51 ISSUE 21 MAY 28, 2014 P55 class and two AMA 250 Super- cross titles, his career has been up and down, some of which had to do with injuries. He returned to Europe the last couple of years in the 450 class and, despite a few stellar rides, never really returned to that championship-winning Pourcel form. Would we see it again at Glen Helen again? Yes and no. Pourcel did look very fast and he had that super smooth Pour- cel form at Glen Helen but didn't get the win like many thought he would. He managed decent starts and ran well inside the top 10 all day. Riding a Valli Motors- ports Yamaha YZ250F with fac- tory support (he was even pitting out of the Yamaha hauler that was put back into action) and under the guidance of former factory Honda team manager Erik Ke- hoe, Pourcel went 7-5 for fifth overall. After the race, Kehoe said that the team and Pourcel were very pleased with his performance and came away achieving their goal of a top-10 finish at the opener. CN 450 OVERALL 1.
