said "He T-boned me, not even
T-boned me… I don't know what
happened. He hit me and we
both went wide."
From Solis' side of the inci-
dent, he put full blame on Fong,
even to the point of feeling Fong
intentionally took him out.
"Yeah, a hundred percent,"
Solis said about Fong's respon-
sibility for the incident. "I'm not
a dirty rider I don't do that kind
of stuff. If I have to make a pass
that's a centimeter away I will, but
I won't hit anybody. He really, re-
ally shut the door hard on me.
"Honestly I'm a racer and I
know how to do types of stuff like
that and I never do. Intentionally
he just really shut the door. He
saw I was there until we made
contact. I had already passed
him. I had half of my front wheel
past him. And he just tried to be
aggressive and close the door.
But it was almost like he didn't
want to close the door. It's almost
like he just wanted to hit me. And
that's why I fell."
Solis tired to pick the bike up
and rejoin the race, but the han-
dlebar was ripped off and he had
to retire. Add to that he hit the
back of his head hard and was
feeling a bit dizzy. But other than
that Solis felt fine.
