it," Dungey said. "I felt like we
had the speed, the endurance
and that we had everything. I got
behind a lapper with a few laps to
go and lost quite a bit of time and
I came across that last lap and I
said, 'you know what, I'm going
to give it all I have right now.' It
came down to the wire. I was
able to catch him the last half of
the lap. I almost had him in the
bowl turn the previous lap, this
time I held it open a little longer
and it got pretty rough, the bike
started to beat me up a bit, but
I managed to hang on and run it
in [on Roczen]. I had my wheel
on him going inside that left turn
and I had the advantage. He tried
to keep holding the outside, but
I was able to drift to the outside

Marvin Musquin's return to racing
didn't go quite as well as planned.
Glen Helen was his first race back
since suffering a torn ACL just be-
fore the start of the 2014 Supercross
Series. In practice, Musquin strained
his shoulder in a near crash, which
bothered him the rest of the day. He
ended up 8
th
overall with 10-8 moto
results. "I had a rough time with
my shoulder today," said Musquin.
"Luckily, my knee felt really good
and I think my shoulder will be fine
at Hangtown. I am looking forward to
making progress at each round until
I am 100 percent."
Recently crowned AMA 250 East
Supercross Champion Justin Bogle
had a good start to the outdoor se-
ries with sixth overall. "Both motos
started off really well for me," the
GEICO Honda Team rider said. "The
first moto I had a bad start but rode
well through the rest of it, made it up
to third, but got a little tired and fell
back to fifth. It was a solid first moto
for me. In the second, moto I pulled
the holeshot [but] I got passed,
crashed on the hill, and ended up
in a mud hole. I got up and was
pretty far back but ended up back in
the top 10 for the finish. I feel really
good, and there are lots of positives
going into Hangtown next weekend.
I'm really excited about this year."
GEICO Honda's Matt Bisceglia
got his first full season on the out-
door National tour started on a posi-
tive not. "I got a couple good starts
today and that helped," Bisceglia
said. "In the first moto I was in third
for the first three laps. I fell off the
pace a little and ended up 11th. The
second moto, however, I didn't really
