DOES IT AGAIN
Another Moto2 race of little variety
brought a second win in succession to
Marc VDS rider Mika Kallio, heading
a Kalex whitewash, with the German
chassis taking the first six places.
Kallio led away from the second
row, ceding the lead to NGM Kalex's
Simone Corsi on lap three, but dog-
ging the Italians footsteps from there
on, with HP 40 Kalex's Luis Salom in
third.
They held station, close but without
special excitement, until lap 18; with
Kallio's teammate Tito Rabat fourth,
interrupted a couple of times by pole
starter Jonas Folger on the AGR
Kalex.
Now Kallio made his move, slipping
under Corsi and immediately open-
ing up a small but secure lead that he
would hold to the end.
Four laps later Rabat pounced on
Salom, who then found himself under
strong attack by teammate Maverick
Vinales, who had got ahead with three
laps to spare.
Salom narrowly hung on to fifth
from Folger: four seconds covered
the top six.
Almost 10 seconds behind, Inter-
wetten Suter's Thomas Luthi had been
holding off carXpert Suter's Domi-
nique Aegerter, until he ran wide and
lost touch, handing a lone seventh to
Aegerter, but hanging on in eighth.
GP rookie Sam Lowes was also
alone in a strong ninth, with Italtrans
Kalex rookie Franco Morbidelli 10th.
