OFF ROAD
AMA/SRT HARE & HOUND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
ROUND 6/MAY 3, 2014
LITTLE SAHARA RECREATION AREA/JERICHO, UTAH
P98
"I was second and I jumped a big
dune, landed on a knoll and just en-
doed really bad," FMF/TBT/6D Hel-
mets 498 RR-mounted Burson said.
"I laid on the ground for about 20
seconds to catch my breath and try
not to get hit by anybody else.
"It took a lot out of me; it took a
lot to not just turn back and head to
the truck. But I got up and shook the
cobwebs out, then just started pick-
ing guys off. I felt really good, actu-
ally, but I was losing my rear brake all
day long. They'd go out for five miles,
then come back.
"They told me I was fourth at the
pits, which I was surprised to hear
because I didn't know how I moved
up like that."
Ramirez led through the pits to col-
lect the $100 Bike Week Radio Show
bonus followed by Purvines Racing
