The rider forcing the issue was carXpert Suter's Dominique Aegerter, who seized second from the second row of the grid, and stayed there throughout. He blamed little mistakes in the early laps for losing touch with Kallio. Try as he might, he couldn't get the gap to less than a second, and was 2.4 behind over the line. Second was the Swiss rider's best result in the class. Class rookie Jonas Folger was like- The race for second place when to the bitter end with Valentino Rossi (46) holding back the advances of Dani Pedrosa (26) on the final lap.
