MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
VOL. 51 ISSUE 18 MAY 6, 2014 P51
Briefly...
The Vegas final was void of GEICO
Honda riders in the 450 class. Wil
Hahn has already been out for a
while with injuries and teammate Eli
Tomac joined Hahn on the sidelines
after suffering a broken collarbone
while training during the week before
Vegas. The break is said not to be
serious. Tomac had the bone plated
and is expected to suit up for the
opening round of the outdoor Na-
tionals.
Speaking of the GEICO Honda
Team, rookie Matt Bisceglia has
been getting stronger and stronger
as the year progresses. He's now a
regular at the front of the pack, fin-
ishing a career high third in the 250
East main. He was also running near
the front of the Shootout before get-
ting run off the track by Dean Wilson.
"I feel great," Bisceglia said. "I'm re-
ally pleased with the way I rode to-
night. It all started coming together
for me towards the end of the sea-
son. I can't wait to carry this momen-
tum we're gaining into the outdoor
season. We all have a few weeks to
rest up and then it'll come fast and
furious. As hot as it was today, that's
probably what we can expect at most
of the motocross events, so we got a
good preview of what we'll be deal-
ing with."
Four-time Arenacross Champion Ty-
ler Bowers filled in for Chad Reed
on the Discount Tires/TwoTwo Mo-
torsports Kawasaki team at Las Ve-
gas. It was Bowers' first race in quite
some time on a 450. He qualified
for the main via a fourth-place finish
in the semi and dropped out of the
main on the fifth lap while running
