IN THE WIND P22 meeting' and this is good. I've got the best psychologist in the world. But I cannot say her name because she is so good." Kasprzak tops the World Championship on 35 points – 11 clear of Nicki Pedersen in sec- ond. But he refuses to consider the prospect of mounting a title charge yet. "I don't think about this," he said. "We will be working for 10 more rounds and that's all I can do. I don't want to say about plac- es and where I will finish. I only want to be in the GP next year." Runner-up Ward admits he was fortunate to take part in the race as he continues his battle with the knee ligament damage he suffered at the New Zealand GP. Ward, who sat out Friday's prac- tice session, left with 16 points. "I think I'm lucky I was in Bydgo- szcz given that I couldn't even put my foot down," Ward said. "There was some good racing and it was hard work. I had to keep battling because everyone was so quick. When the rain came, we had de- cisions to make and this definitely feels like a win for me. My knee is definitely pretty bad at the mo- ment. But you can just pick your leg up and balance on the bike at Bydgoszcz." Jaroslaw Hampel finished third ahead of American icon Greg Hancock. The fourth-place finish moved Hancock to fourth in the World Championship. John Hipkiss WILL HE OR WON'T HE? T hat seems to be the big ques- tion relating to Ryan Villopoto and the upcoming Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Champion- ship that is set to begin on May 24 at Glen Helen Raceway. Over the past few weeks, rumors have been growing of the possibility of defending 450-class champ Ryan Villopoto sitting it out, opt- ing to sacrifice the number-one plate to have lingering injuries taken care of, which would also allow him to be in the best shape possible for the 2015 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Cham- pionship, where he'll be go- ing after a record-setting fifth straight title. During the New Jersey Su- percross at MetLife Stadium on April 26, we asked Villopo- to's Monster Energy Kawasaki team manager Dan Fahie, who wouldn't confirm or deny Villo- poto not racing in the upcoming series; however, he did confirm that Villopoto has considered sitting it out because of health concerns. Apparently, Villopoto and the team are weighing their options. "We are just like a business, Monster Energy Kawasaki, and we need to make sure we take care of our interests," Fahie said referring to Villopoto. Later in the evening, after clinching his fourth Supercross ti- tle, we went straight to the source and asked Villopoto whether or not he is going to compete in the outdoor Nationals. "I am riding the Nationals this year," said Villopoto. "At this point in time, yes, I am riding the Nationals." Shan Moore Contrary to rumors, Ryan Villopoto says he is planning on defending his number-one plate in the upcoming outdoor Nationals.
