OFF ROAD
AMA/SRT HARE & HOUND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
ROUND 5/APRIL 27, 2014
JOHNSON VALLEY OHV/LUCERNE VALLEY, CALIFORNIA
P104
He ended up seventh Pro and
10th overall with a badly scraped
left forearm and torn riding pants.
So then there were three: Bra-
bec, Argubright and Burson.
"The first loop was totally my
style of racing - fast valleys and
whoops," Brabec reported. "I
made up a lot of time there. I
reeled in Ivan the last 10 miles of
loop one and I was feeling really
good.
"Three miles out of loop two we
were getting lost so all three of us
were kind of out there looking
around. Jake found the course
and Ivan found the course and
I found the course. We were all
battling back and forth, then Ivan
pulled off. He said something
was clogged up.
"That put me and Jake out in
front, battling.
"At the end of the day, I'm a lit-
tle bit beat from the SCORE race
because I ended up doing a little
more miles [than planned] yester-
day because Max had a get-off.
"Coming into this race, I just
wanted a top five."
And he certainly accomplished
that with his runner-up.
Argubright ended up making
the last pass for the lead, ending
both his personal but short and
Husky's prolonged drought.
