As riders tripped over one another, sending rivals wide onto the low-grip dirt-track that lurked off-line and changing places back and forth, Movistar Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo made the most of his front-row start to stage an early breakaway. But his redemption after two disastrous races is still some- thing of a work in progress. He was best Yamaha, for sure; and he made no mistakes this time. But he was not only firmly out- classed after Marquez caught, stalked and pounced, but nor was he best of the rest. Marquez's Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa had lost too much ground playing it cau- tiously in the scrum conditions, and was as low as seventh at one stage. But he picked his way through and was third after nine of 25 laps. At that point he was well over three seconds adrift of (Above) Lorenzo (99) ended up losing second place to Dani Pedrosa (26) on the penultimate lap, giving the Repsol Honda team its second one-two finish in a row.
