WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP WORLD SUPERBIKE BY GORDON RITCHIE PHOTOGRAPHY BY GOLD & GOOSE I t was impossible to downplay how impressive the perfor- mance of the Kawasaki duo of Tom Sykes and Loris Baz was this weekend, with the reigning World Champion and the young pretender at it again as they had been in race two in Phillip Island. The man of the meeting was unquestionably Sykes, who scored Superpole, a new race lap record in a dominant race- one win, and then maybe an even more impressive and battling vic- tory in race two.
