KTM rider almost threw the race
away a couple of times trying
to do it again. Anderson ran off
the course while battling Hill for
second, and then crashed on an-
other occasion, but he was still
able to come back and pass Hill
for second before the end of the
race.
"My goal was to just come out,
get a start and put in my race,"
said Anderson. "The mistakes I
made were huge. I was just try-
ing hard to win this race."
Hill's battle with Anderson for
second was epic, and Hill also
had an intense battle with his
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Ka-
wasaki teammate Dean Wilson at
the start of the race and the pres-
sure may very well have caused
Wilson to crash out of contention.
