VOL. 51 ISSUE 15 APRIL 15, 2014 P37 THE PENTON MOVIE A fter nearly six years, the public can see a sneak peak of the film "PENTON: The John Penton Story" with the newly released trailer featuring John Penton, his hall of fame family and a few of the motor- cycle industry legends who were interviewed for the film. The nearly four-minute trailer teases the en- tire film and specific stories the audience will get to see in the final film when it opens in theatres on June 20. "It's great to finally show the industry and all the people who supported this project a little sneak peak at what we have been working on for so long," said Todd Huffman, the film's director and producer at Pipeline Digital Me- dia (PDM). "We hope this gives a little insight on what an important story and family this is when the film is released in June." PEICK JOINS RCH SUZUKI, HILL OUT T he Soaring Eagle/RCH Suzuki Team has an- nounced that privateer Weston Peick will be joining the squad for the upcoming outdoor Lu- cas Oil AMA Motocross Championship, and that it won't be picking up its option with the team's cur- rent Supercross rider Josh Hill. According to team manager Kenny Watson, Hill has a Supercross-only deal with the team. There was an outdoor option, but the team opted not to extend its obligation with Hill for the outdoors. "There were no hard feelings and it was nothing personal," said Watson. "He just didn't have a deal for outdoors and we decided not to exercise his option." There is also the rumor that the team has hired Ivan Tedesco to ride the outdoor series until Broc Tickle returns from injury, which Watson says will be no sooner than midsummer - halfway into the outdoor schedule. Watson wouldn't confirm or deny the Tedesco rumor but said that the team would issue a press release shortly, revealing its plans for outdoors. An even bigger rumor as of late involving the team concerns current Red Bull KTM Team rider Ken Roczen. Unconfirmed reports have it that the RCH team is very much interested in the former Suzuki rider who broke onto the GP scene riding yellow. The German won the MX2 World Champi- onship in 2011. Weston Peick has landed a solid job on the Soaring Eagle/RCH Suzuki team for the upcoming outdoor Nationals. PHOTOGRAPHY BY SHAN MOORE
