estled in Scott's Valley is a place called the Dome. And we're
not talking about some new sports arena you've yet to hear of.
The Dome is where the magic happens at the headquarters for
Bell Helmets and its sister companies – Giro, Blackburn and Easton
Cycling. Established in 2012, as far as volume and full in-house proto-
typing capabilities go, the Dome is claimed to be the World's largest
helmet research and development facility with over 50 engineers, de-
signers and testing professionals having the Dome's resources at their
fingertips to help them develop helmets efficiently.
Bell recently invited journalists to tour the Dome and walk us through
the process of creating a helmet and show how much that effort entails.
