in the FIM X-Trial World Champi-
onship –the last 26 of them con-
secutive. It is a streak that started
in Barcelona on January 31, 2010.
It was his third straight unbeaten
season in the indoor series.
"Winning is addictive and the
more you have it, the more you
enjoy it and want to have more,"
Bou said. "I am lucky enough to
live and enjoy such special mo-
ments. I have been winning all
the rounds in this championship
for four years, 26 consecutive
victories. It is clear that we have
worked a lot and well and the
best reward is this, to be able to
enjoy these moments. From now
on, we are going to focus on the
outdoor season, with the same
will to win even more titles."
SACTO MILE CANCELLED
T
he Sacramento Mile, sched-
uled for July 26 at the Cal
Expo in Sacramento, California,
has been cancelled.
"This is a very unfortunate turn
of events," said event promoter
Bob Bellino. "We're sorry that
we won't be able to host the AMA
Pro Flat Track races at the Cal
Expo venue this year. There were
unexpected complications with
the horse racing industry regard-
ing track conditions that have led
to the improbable cancellation of
the event. It is very disheartening
to me that we won't run the Sac-
ramento Mile in 2014."
The 2014 AMA Grand National
Championship will now consist
of 15 rounds, two of which have
already been held at Daytona.
Fortunately for west coast flat
track fans, the Sacramento Mile
wasn't the only race scheduled
for California and Washington
as there will be races at Grays
Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash-
ington (July 19), the Castle Rock
TT in Castle Rock, Washington
(August 2) and two rounds in Cal-
ifornia – Santa Rosa (September
28) and the season finale in Po-
mona (October 11).
The Sacramento Mile has been cancelled for 2014.
