AMSOIL ARENACROSS CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 51 ISSUE 13 APRIL 1, 2014 P103 Briefly... Long-time motocross and Super- cross veteran, Team Faith KTM's Kelly Smith announced his retire- ment from the podium after his Lites win. "I think this is it," Smith said of his career. "It's been good and I want to thank Team Faith for the last two years here. I've had a great career, but I need to walk away. I said it last year, but now I know." Several riders plan to race the re- maining four rounds of Supercross starting next weekend in Houston. Kyle Regal says he has a 450 ride on the Motosport.com Crossland Honda Team and his Tuf Racing Ti- Lube teammate says he'll be doing some races on his 250. Woodstock KTM's Travis Sewell will also be racing aboard a 250, but Tyler Bow- ers and Zach Ames are still unclear as of what their plans are. "I want to race Supercross, but we'll see what happens," Ames said of his future. "I'd only do it with my Babbitt's bike or a good bike and support, not just out of my truck on my dime." Bab- bitt said of the possibility of riding a couple of Supercross rounds: "As of right now, I don't think so. I haven't got any calls and it really hasn't been discussed." He did say that he plans to do some racing in Cost Rica this summer.
