250 EAST
Martin Davalos proved in St.
Louis that he can indeed perform
under pressure. The Monster En-
ergy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki Team
rider, who has a history of crash-
ing while leading, scored a wire-
to-wire victory in the 250 East Su-
percross main but was hounded
the whole way by previous-round
winner, GEICO Honda's Justin
Bogle.
Bogle And Bobbles
Bogle pulled to within striking
distance of Davalos on three dif-
ferent occasions but couldn't pull
the trigger. Small mistakes by the
Honda rider gave Davalos the op-
portunity to stretch back out his
lead again and again.
On the final lap, Bogle looked
capable of making a move once
again but another small bobble
put an end to that.
Davalos rode a flawless race
and crossed the finish line with his
second win of the season, stretch-
