I think I was dead last to the end of the bomb, then I kind of picked my way through, weav- ing in and out of the bushes. Before I knew it, I come into the pits and they're telling me, 'You're sixth overall!' I'm like, 'Hmmm, all right.' I knew the leaders were going to be gone and I had a good day up 'til here [at the main pit], so I just pushed and pushed. I played around with Axel [Pear- son] and Justin Morrow for the whole race, back and forth. Then Skyler [Howes] and I were going back and forth also. "I don't know what I'm doing, but this year is going so good! I'm having fun and doing good." Purvines Racing Beta racked up another successful National (Above) Dalton Shirey won the 200cc Expert division, keeping his perfect record in the class alive at three-for-three. (Left) Ryan Smith, once again, topped 250cc Expert class. (Right) Jarett Megla ran away with the Super Mini race, the first triumph of the season for the defending class champ.
