a good night for sure," Martin said. "I
qualified a little slower than usual and
had to go to the LCQ, which is al-
ways nerve racking and you hate be-
ing there, but I got through that and
got a good start in the main. I rode
up front for a while and ended up
seventh. I really appreciate the sup-
port the team has given me and it's a
really good platform to build from. I
can't wait for outdoors and Daytona
was an indication of that."
Ryan Villopoto wasn't the only rider
suffering the affects of food poi-
soning at Toronto, so was JGRMX/
Toyota/N-Fab Yamaha's Josh Grant
who didn't ride in Toronto at all. Team
members said Grant was very sick all
day. Grant's teammate Justin Bray-
ton had food poisoning in Indy a few
weeks earlier. When asked about the
recent trend, Brayton explained, "I'm
not sure what is happening. We all
try to eat so healthy and fish is a big
part of it. I got sick from grilled salm-
on at Indy, and I asked RV what his
symptoms were before the heat race
and tried to help him figure it out. I
guess we are all just on the brink of
overtraining and one little thing could
set it off. I just stick to chicken now."
RCH Soaring Eagle Casino's Broc
Tickle crashed hard in the first
practice and was carried out of the
stadium on a backboard to a local
hospital. Early reports were an in-
jured back and he did not return to
the track. Unconfirmed reports have
it that Tickle underwent surgery on
the back with successful results. The
team has yet to released any infor-
mation regarding Tickle's status.
