BONITA ACES ANZA HARE SCRAMBLES
K
LIM/FMF KTM's Justin Bo-
nita took top honors at the
fourth round of the AMA West
Hare Scrambles Championship
in Anza, California, on March 16.
Husqvarna's Jacob Argubright
finished second, followed by 3
Bros KTM rider Ryan Kudla. The
race was also a part of the Get-
Xtr-Eme Motorcycle Endurance
Series (GXE).
Argubright was the early lead-
er, but Bonita made some quick
passes on Kudla and then, later
in the race, on Argubright to get
into the lead.
"I was really hoping for some-
thing gnarlier - as in rocks!" said
Argubright "The GXE in Reno
was right up my alley, but chas-
ing the Hare Scramble Series, I
really have to get a hang of these
trees."
Bonita, however, was ultra
quick in the tight stuff and set
a pace that no one could put a
dent in. On the final lap, Bonita's
lead had grown to over a minute
and he would go on to take the
win over Argubright and Kudla.
Kudla's 3 Bros KTM teammate
Nick Stover made a push at the
end of the race but couldn't get
close enough to overtake him on
the adjusted time, having started
in the A 250 class.
Argubright would extend his
points lead in the overall champi-
onship to 56 points over Morgan
Crawford, who finished fifth over-
all on the day.
Kudla captured the GXE Pro
Two-Stroke-class victory fol-
lowed by Stover in fourth and
first A 250.
