ROCKY MOUNTAIN MC WORLD OFF-ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES, PRESENTED BY MOTOWORKS AND DIRT BIKE MAGAZINE
VOL. 51 ISSUE 11 MARCH 18, 2014 P109
trashed me. I want to be back up
on the podium and supporting
my sponsors and looking good,
but there's a bigger picture of me
wanting to keep getting those
wins, and defending that cham-
pionship, and if this is my worst
race of the year I'll take it," said
Bell.
In the Pro 2 class, RPM/KTM's
Travis Coy and John Burr Cycles'
Steve Gibson had an intense bat-
tle for the lead with the pair swap-
ping the lead back and forth mul-
tiple times throughout the race,
but in the end, Coy secured his
first win of the season followed
by Gibson in the second spot.
In the Pro 2 Lites class, Blayne
Thompson got off to a rough
start after smashing into a tree,
which ripped a chunk of skin off
his finger, but he wasn't about to
let that stop his charge. The next
lap, he charged his way into the
lead, which he held for the entire
race to secure his second win of
the season.
"Yeah, on the first lap I got a
pretty bad start and had a couple
guys right behind me," Thomp-
son said. "I hit a tree on the first
lap and ripped my finger open,
and I went from there to see what
would happen, and I came out on
top." CN
