SUPERCROSS
MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
ROUND 10/MARCH 8, 2014
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA
P42
Villopoto's only stumble came
on lap 11 when he plowed the
front end and went down. It was
only a hiccup for Villopoto, as he
barely missed a beat and was on
his way before anyone knew what
had happened.
For sure, Daytona always fa-
vors the best of the outdoor rid-
ers, and that statistic was ampli-
fied this year since the track was
faster and rougher than ever. An-
drew Short has ridden Daytona
since 2001 and said this year's
track was the roughest ever.
Villopoto has been hot and
cold this year when it comes to
getting off the line, but in the
main event he was able to get
into the lead early with a few ap-
propriate darts.
