The 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing Championship kicks off
its season at Daytona International Speedway on March
13th. Last year's Daytona 200 winner Cameron Beaubier
moves up to Superbikes to challenge his teammate and
three-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes, leaving
this year's running of the 73rd Daytona 200 without its
defending race and series champ. But there's a stacked
field of veterans and up-and-coming riders competing for
this year's honor of being the Daytona 200 winner.

As a part of Bike Week festivities, the AMA Pro Flat Track
Series returns to Daytona International Speedway for a
doubleheader season opener. Grand National Champion
Brad Baker returns to defend his title, but there are a
bunch of hungry riders ready to start the year off right and
make their bid for the title as well.

For the NHRA Mellow Yellow Pro Stock Motorcycle
Series it's a clean slate as the 2014 season begins
on March 13th at the 45th Annual Gator Nationals in
Gainesville, Florida. Defending Champion Matt Smith
gets his first opportunity to defend his crown. While
last year's winner Hector Arana Jr. looks to pull off the
repeat and start the year off right once again. But they
will have to do so against the Vance & Hines team of
Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines who've had time on
their side this season to develop their bikes and hope
to build off their late-season wins.
