IN THE WIND P28 DiSalvo won the Daytona 200 in 2011 and Myers is the first woman to win a professional motorsports event of any kind at Daytona International Speedway. "It would be huge to get an- other Daytona 200 victory," said DiSalvo in a team release. "Our pre-season testing's going well and Richard and I have a lot of experience working together through Sportbike Track Time and Speed Academy. We're go- ing to be a very strong team this year." Team owner Richard Har- ris will serve as crew chief for DiSalvo while veteran crew chief and Speed Academy co-owner Brian Stokes will be crew chief for Myers. "I can't wait to hit the high banks of Daytona," said Myers. "It's super cool that Jason is join- ing the team. Getting to know ev- eryone through Sportbike Track Time and Speed Academy track day weekends is incredible. We've become a big family. It's an amazing experience." THE SPORTSTER GOES LOW H arley-Davidson has an- nounced a new Sportster model geared for long-haul tour- ing to its 2014 line-up – the Su- perLow 1200T. The arrival of the all-new SuperLow 1200T marks the first time that Harley-David- son has combined a SuperLow chassis with its Evolution 1200 V-Twin engine. So if you wanted to hit the road on something that is a little lighter and a little lower, the SuperLow 1200T was designed to meet your needs. Harley says that the ergonomics were designed to cater to riders between 5'1" to 5'7" in height - making sure the ground, handlebars and foot controls are within easy reach. It has a seat height of 26.1 inches and is also 118 pounds lighter than Harley-Davidson's lightest Big Twin tourer. The touring features added to the Sportster are a detachable windscreen, lockable saddle- bags, and quick detach docking points to make it easy to add a backrest or luggage rack. Harley also included an easy-to-reach dial to adjust the preload of the rear suspension to allow riders to accommodate for changes made by adding a passenger or luggage. The SuperLow touring model has mini footboards and differs slightly from the SuperLow 883 chassis as the foot position has been moved three inches for- ward. The MSRP for the Super Low is $11,799 and it is available in Vivid Black, Candy Orange, and two-tone Birch White/Midnight Pearl. The new Harley-Davidson SuperLow 1200T.
