ing development are now avail-
able on more touring and urban-
based motorcycles – and that's a
good thing.
So before I hit the road I got
into the ABS and DTC controls to
see what I could come up with.
A new "Thin Film Transistor" style
dash is where the party starts.
In the Urban Mode the dash will
display your speed as the largest
part of the readout with the ride
mode below and time displayed
above. Quite practical for every
day city riding where time is usu-
ally an important factor. To the
left of the time indicator there is
the ABS and to the right is the
DTC level readout. Engine cool-
ant temperature and odometer
readouts are at the bottom of the
screen. A host of other important
features such as trip meter, fuel
reserves, average fuel consump-
tion, actual fuel consumption, av-
erage speed and air temperature
can be accessed at the bottom
left and right data readouts. All
