smelling like a rose at the Big 6

over the March 1-2 weekend. In
wet, windy and muddy condi-

California rainstorm, Yorba took

and had trouble seeing. He fin-

two rounds of the series.
Third overall went to Rockstar/

Former National Hare Scram-

who grabbed the early lead on
his Garrahan Off-Road Training

fifth overall.

NO TESTING
FOR MARQUEZ
Repsol Honda's Marc Mar-
quez was ruled out of the Mo-
toGP test in Australia, the World
Champion being advised by his
doctors that his broken right
fibula was not healed enough to
take part in this week's on-track action at Phillip
Island.
Marquez broke his fibula (the smaller of the two
bones in the lower leg) in a dirt track training ac-
cident. A checkup last week with Dr. Mir in Bar-
celona showed that the injury was not sufficiently
healed for the Bridgestone tire test.
"I'm obviously disappointed that I'm not in
Sepang at the moment and to miss Phillip Island is
also unfortunate, but we believe it is the best deci-
sion," Marquez said last week in a team release.
"After my meeting today with Dr. Mir, although he
was happy with the general situation of my leg af-
ter only seven days since the accident, he advised
against taking unnecessary risk. So I will take time
to rest and get myself as fit as possible to return to
Qatar for the first race in the best shape possible."
There won't be any
testing for Marc
Marquez prior to
the season opener
in Qatar.
