MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
VOL. 51 ISSUE 8 FEBRUARY 25, 2014 P57
said Bogle. "I'm just following the
plan with my trainer and so far, so
good. I'm happy but not satisfied.
I'm hungry for more and ready
to move over on the podium to-
wards that middle spot.
"I didn't have the best start in
the main, so I had to fight through
and make some passes to get up
front," he said of the race. "Basi-
cally, I capitalized on some mis-
takes other guys were making
and made it through the carnage.
I raced a pretty smart race."
BAGGETT'S BAD START
Blake Baggett salvaged what
could've been a disastrous night
for the Monster Energy/Pro Cir-
cuit/Kawasaki Team rider. He
clipped handlebars with the
rider next to him down the start
chute and nearly went down, but
the damage was done. He en-
tered the first turn in dead last
but, knowing he could possibly
make some passes in bunches
through the first turn, he dove to
the inside and came out just out-
side the top 10. From there, he
clawed and scratched his way
up, eventually crossing the finish
line in fifth place, definitely keep-
ing himself in contention for the
East Championship.
He did, however, slip from sec-
ond to third in the points stand-
ings but the former 250 outdoor
champ is still only nine points
out of the lead behind the rookie
Cianciarulo. CN
