All riders agreed that the Atlan-
ta track with its red clay was soft-
er and better but still very tricky.
Although the soil provided much
better grip than the past seven
races, it also produced ruts, and
there were still some slippery
spots scattered about, which
kept everyone on their toes, but
may have beneļ¬tted Roczen's
precise throttle-control-style of
riding. And then there were the
whoops, which because of a
short run-up out of a soft turn and
rather large and deep spacing,
the riders weren't able to "skim"
them quite as easily as normal.
