he moved up to 15th in the final
standings, his best finish a sixth
in New Orleans.
So far this year, he sits in ninth
overall with two fifths and a sixth
in six races.
His latest race in San Diego
may have been his best ever.
"Other than a shit practice
and crashing in the heat race,
and having to qualify through the
LCQ, other than all of that, the
night was great," said Peick. "I
think having to ride the semi and
LCQ actually worked in my favor,
because it gave me a chance to
get the track down, find the lines
and getting my rhythm."
In Peick's heat race, a rider cut
under him and Peick endoed onto
the track, bending the sub-frame
and handlebars. Then, in his semi
race, a rider fell on top of Peick
and both riders went down, send-
ing them both to the LCQ.
In the main, Peick rode a
steady race, moving up through
the pack after getting a bad jump
off the gate.

(Above) Peick has put together his
own program for 2014. The way he's
been riding as of late, he could be on
someone else's program before the
season is through.
(Right) Peick had promising back-
to-back fifth-place finishes in
Supercross.
