eter were designed to look bet-
ter, be easier to read and provide
more information. That new info
includes MPG, gear position, av-
erage and current fuel consump-
tion, riding range meter, voltage
meter, freeze indicator, outside
air temperature and brightness
adjustability for rider preference.
There's also a convenient 12-volt
outlet just below the instrument
panel to plug in a phone charger,
a GPS, heated gear, etc.
QUICK SPIN
Late last year, Suzuki held its
world launch of the new V-Strom
1000 ABS in the south of Spain
and more recently hosted a group
ride closer to our home in Cali-
fornia, where I got the chance to
spend a couple of days bopping
around the So Cal countryside on
the revamped 'Strom. So, what
did I learn after tallying about 500
miles on the odo? That the new
V-Strom is truly a versatile, com-
fortable and fun, go-anywhere
(well, almost anywhere) machine
