MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES VOL. 51 ISSUE 7 FEBRUARY 19, 2014 P45 never give up and look where we are this weekend. I just need to keep working to get a win." After Roczen and Barcia nearly collided, and Brayton went off the track, Villopoto was able to sneak past Roczen to take over fourth, which is where he finished the race. "It was not a good race for me, I got shuffled back on the first lap and there was close racing there for most of the race, but then it got a bit sketchy near the middle of the race," said Villopoto. "I felt I was okay, obviously with a clean track I had the speed to do some- thing, but when you get pushed back on the first lap like that, what are you going to do?" Brayton finished fifth behind Villopoto, rebounding from his off-track excursion. Briefly... get better from here." Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawa- saki's Martin Davalos came close of getting his first-career 250 Su- percross win. At 27 years of age, Davalos is the oldest 250 rider on the track, and he won his heat race and was leading the 250 main when he went down. He had some more issues later in the race but still pulled off a podium finish. "Things could have definitely gone worse, so to be on the podium after going down twice is something I'm happy to take," said Davalos. "I know we may have let one slip away there, but it's going to be a long battle towards the championship, and I'll have plenty of chances to bounce back and get that first career win. I'm honestly just happy to see Adam get the win and put Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Ka- wasaki and the KX250F 1-2-3." Third-place finisher Justin Barcia (51) battle fiercely with Ken Roczen (94), Justin Brayton (10) and Ryan Villopoto (1), who's been holding back on the hard- packed tracks. Blake Baggett (4) chases Cianciarulo for the 250-class lead. It was Baggett's first race back since injury.
