REED INJURED!
C
had Reed spent the night
in the hospital on Saturday
night in San Diego after crashing
out of the main event at Qual-
comm Stadium. As a result, the
Australian suffered a broken
scapula, collarbone and T1 verte-
brae. Despite all that, the TwoTwo
Motorsports team owner/racer
says he will attempt to race in the
Dallas Supercross this coming
weekend.
Reed was battling for third
with Red Bull KTM's Ken Roczen
when he clipped the rear wheel
of the German's bike, causing
him to crash hard in the whoops.
After the race Reed was trans-
ported to a nearby hospital for
X-rays and was held there over-
night. There wasn't much of an
update on Reed's condition ex-
cept through Reed's Twitter feed
earlier today, saying that he was
checking out to go to a different
hospital.
"Thanks for all the support and
prayers," Reed said via Twitter.
"Still not 100 percent sure what's
up…Trying to check myself outta
hospital so I can go get scans,
X-ray and MRI. I'm not confident
in this hospital. So I'll let you all
know when I know more."
After his second hospital visit,
Reed reported the broken bones.
"Explains the pain I guess,"
Reed wrote on Twitter. "Some-
times things don't make sense.
It's that love-hate relationship you
have with racing. But every Sat-
urday night they drop the gate.
In six days I plan to be there!" Al-
though he crashed out on Satur-
day night, Reed didn't lose touch
in San Diego, dropping only one
position in the standings. He is
now six points behind Roczen
and 15 points down on Villopoto.
R
ed Bull/KTM's Taddy Blazu-
siak was unbeatable in the
penultimate round of the FIM
SuperEnduro World Champi-
onship in Barcelona, Spain, on
February 8, the four-time cham-
pion winning all three of the Su-
perEnduro finals.
The first time out, Blazu-
siak claimed the win ahead of
Husqvarna's Alfredo Gomez and
Sherco's David Knight. Blazu-
siak led from start to finish in the
second main with his teammate
Jonny Walker taking second and
Knight third. Blazusiak wrapped
it all up in the third and final race,
taking the win over Walker and
the Spaniard Gomez.
The overall win went to Bla-
zusiak, followed by Walker, Go-
mez and Knight.
American Kyle Redmond
(KTM) went 8-15-7 for 10th over-
all. KTM rider Kevin Rookstool
also competed with 16-16-15 re-
sults.
With one round left, Blazusiak
is leading the way in the points
race, well clear of Knight, 279-
240. Walker is fourth with 204.
Redmond is holding down
eighth in the championship and
Rookstool 10th.

Blazusiak was
perfect at the
SuperEnduro
Championship
in Barcelona.
Despite three broken bones, Chad
Reed says he will try and race Satur-
day night in the Dallas Supercross.
