HILL, TICKLE BANGED UP IN OAKLAND

Tickle had a tough time at
the Oakland Supercross on
Saturday night as both riders
were knocked out of the evening's program with injuries
suffered during their respective heat races.
Hill, who had a strong race
the weekend before at Anaheim II, suffered a broken collarbone and will be out of action for
at least a few weeks, while
Tickle suffered a sprained
wrist, bruised palm and a
jammed finger. His future
race status is not yet known.
Going into the Oakland
race, Tickle was 10th in the
450-class standings and
Hill, who failed to make the
main in Phoenix but finished
eighth a week later at the
Josh Hill suffered a broken collarbone
Anaheim II Supercross, was

sidelined for the next few weeks.

he Motorsports Hall of Fame
of America will induct its
26th class of racing legends on
Wednesday, August 6 with the
list of those set to be honored
including flat track legend Ricky
Graham.
"Once again, the depth and
breadth of American motorsports is reflected in the 2014
class of inductees," said Ron
Watson, president of the Motorsports Hall of Fame, in a release
issued today.
Three-time AMA Grand National Champion (1982, 1984 and
1993), Graham is considered by
many to be one of the most talented dirt-track racers ever. He
won 39 career Grand Nationals,
seven Sportster Performance
Nationals and was the 1993
AMA Athlete of the Year. That
year, he won a record 12 races,
including six in a row to establish the longest winning streak in

Hall of Fame
of America in
August.
AMA Grand National history. A
fifth-place in the Del Mar Mile in
1997 proved to be his final race
as Graham was killed in a house
fire in early 1998.
Joining Graham in being inducted in 2014 are Ole Bardahl,
Raymond Beadle, John Bishop,
Arie Luyendyk, Marshall Teague
and Rusty Wallace.
The Motorsports Hall of
Fame of America memorializes
achievement in all forms of motorized competition. Over the
years, 209 motorsports luminaries have been inducted.
