This Winter Classic may go down in history as the toughest yet. In addition to the 184 finishers, 180 starters did not see the finish line. Most of the Johnny Campbell Racing Honda team that won the Baja 1000 showed up in Lucerne, though they were only spectating. Mark Samuels and Colton Udall ran around on their old Hondas, but David Kamo had a new KTM 450 XC-F. Honda-mounted Tatum Sik completed the 80 miles in five hours, 38 minutes and 57 seconds to win Women's A. Last year's Women A/B winner Rily Ellinger settled for second in 6:14:42 aboard her new Kawasaki with defending class champ Maggie Pearson the third and final class finisher in 6:55:09.
