The Z1000 is at home on the
twisties as it is going stoplight to
stoplight in the city.
on both sides. And they work.
They offer up plenty of stopping
power and provide nice feel
through the lever.
Oh, and there's ABS so you
don't have to worry about locking
the front brake. The anti-lock system is also dialed in nicely and it
doesn't give you that chatter feeling through the lever when you're
trying to get it to work. It also
works nicely with the new fork as
there's no front-end dive.
The rear suspension isn't anything to write home about and
it's unchanged from the previous
model. You don't notice it on the
twisties because you're having so
much fun, but it's a bit harsh on
the freeway and when you hit a
bump you know it. Let's just say
it's set up more for sport than it is
for cruise.

Comfort wise, it's better than
the previous model. The handlebar (a larger diameter bar) sits
lower and closer to the rider, so
it's a bit more aggressive than
the older version. At 5' 8", it felt
just about right, though taller rid-
